oil tank sweep premier, tank sweep, ground penetrating radar,

This house in Weehawken most likely has a tank in its front yard. Taking into account where the AOC is, the size of the area, the town, and age of house/neighborhood, the evidence tells us it’s probably an oil tank. However, there was no vent or fill pipes found so we must always recommend an exploratory dig.

Exploratory Digs

$400+

In the situations when an anomaly is found which can’t be ID’d as an oil tank, we recommend an exploratory hand dig. All digs are performed by hand, which in most cases does not require mark-outs.

You do not want to buy a house without knowing what the anomaly is. An oil tank can be ANYWHERE on the property, front, sides, back. Unless you have written documentation telling you what the buried anomaly is (septic tank, grey water tank, well) do not trust what the seller is telling you. Sellers will say anything to get rid of a house with a leaking oil tank without you knowing.

This was a tank found during an exploratory dig, you can see the fuel lines and a fill/vent pipe.
